AFSL Auditors

When an Australian business is involved in the provision of financial services, it is obligated to hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

AFSLs are regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and are legislated under the Corporations Act 2001.  Under the Corporations Act 2001, an AFSL must lodge form FS70 with ASIC, and attached a copy of their complete audited financial statements. Additionally, the licensee must also lodge form FS71 Auditor’s report after the auditor has completed this. These forms and audits are required to be completed by a Registered Company Auditor.

With Registered Company Auditor status, operating as an Authorised Audit Company, Oak Audit & Assurance is able to be appointed to audit your AFSL. Our team brings experience from the Big-4 level in maintaining compliance requirements during the audit of prominent Australian entities, as well as years of experience auditing AFSLs at the boutique entity level.

We prioritise transparency and communication with our clients, and have accordingly developed systems that make the audit process as smooth as possible. Our goal is to provide a high level, professional service, while causing minimal disruptions to the running of your business. From the outset, our director provides a clear outline of the engagement process, and the items required from you to maximise efficiency. With Oak Audit & Assurance as your auditor, you can be sure we share the common goal of keeping your business running as smoothly as possible, with the peace of mind that your financial statement audit and associated compliance requirements with ASIC have been met.
